Your Job

This role is responsible for assembling prefabricated parts, using both welding (TIG/MIG) and bolt-on assembly methods according to drawings and blueprints. In addition, the Assembler/Fitter is required to comply with KOCH safety requirements and behave in a manner that is aligned with our company culture.

What You Will Do

• Set up fixtures, mount parts in fixtures, and perform mechanical assembly.
• Tack and stitch welds using GMAW/ MIG welding methods
• Perform a variety of tasks in production assembly operations on mechanical assembly and sub-assemblies.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, fit up, and welding operations of structures.
• Use measuring tools and instruments, as provided and appropriate, to assure accuracy in dimensions of work in process.
• Read and comply with Work Instruction Process Sheets and Blueprints.
• Use basic hand and air tools such as drill, grinder, cutting wheels, wrench, and clamps.
• Perform other duties as required.
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Exposure as Assembler/welder
• Exposure in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings in English
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• Deftness and attention to detail
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Welding certificate and good knowledge of different types of metal and their properties is plus.
