Job Description

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will independently perform a wide range of conventional and moderately complex architectural assignments, applying established design standards, practices, and techniques.

This role requires discretion and independent judgment in developing original designs, proficiency in standard architectural methodologies, and a thorough understanding of company procedures.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducts architectural studies, develops design concepts, and establishes design criteria.
• Prepares related reports and documentation.
• Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers.
• Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Writes construction specifications and prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Interfaces with suppliers as required to ensure project needs are met.
• Coordinates work with engineering and construction teams at the project site.
• Reviews, approves, and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Provides the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract.
• Offers technical guidance to Architectural Designers/Drafters working on the same project.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is required and typically 5+ years of Related Experience, or Master’s degree and typically 5+ years related experience.
• Professional registration is required at this level.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Requires proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, and techniques, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model-building, and presentation drawing.
• Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required.
