AOR manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled AOR Manager (Architect of Record) to lead and coordinate architectural design processes while ensuring full compliance with local codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional design teams, liaising with governmental entities, and representing the company in technical and permitting matters.

key Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge on the application of local Saudi building codes, regulations and permitting process for mixed used, large masterplan developments, entertainment, sports and cultural projects.
• Strong knowledge on the civil defence requirements and its application within the design phase for compliance against SBC and NPFA codes.
• Strong knowledge on the service providers requirements and design requirements. Ability to apply these regulations and requirements into the design.
• Strong knowledge on the permitting procedures within multiple governmental entities such as Riyadh Amanah and RCRC.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong grasp of current communication, project tracking, and division of responsibilities.
• Excellent meeting, workshop, and conference facilitation skills, with proven knowledge of fostering attendee participation and collaboration in small and large groups.
• Solid technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project’s design process.
• Solid understanding and ability to implement quality management processes and procedures.
• Employs strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
• Willingly to mentor more junior team members and share knowledge.
• Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related area of study.
• Additional qualifications in master planning / urban planning is a plus.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience, including 5 years of experience as a Design Manager or AOR Manager, similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services.
• PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with industry-standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software programs.
• High proficiency in English Language skills.
• Must have a Valid SCE Membership (Professional or Consultant).
• Must have a Valid and Transferable Iqama (if non-Saudi).
