This role is primarily responsible for the timely completion of our KSA monthly close activities ensuring the accuracy of the KSA financial statement and overseeing accurate financial reporting, tax declarations, and internal audits, ensuring compliance with both Local and US GAAP. The position leads, supervises and develops the general accounting and consolidations. It involves system management, reconciliations, and collaboration with key stakeholders working across accounting functions and international teams.

This role is primarily responsible for the timely completion of our KSA monthly close activities ensuring the accuracy of the KSA financial statement and overseeing accurate financial reporting, tax declarations, and internal audits, ensuring compliance with both Local and US GAAP. The position leads, supervises and develops the general accounting and consolidations. It involves system management, reconciliations, and collaboration with key stakeholders working across accounting functions and international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all US GAAP and statutory accounting of KSA entities (2 legal entities) under US GAAP and local GAAP
- Coordinate month end close activities with FPA, Payroll, Tax, Treasury and Corporate Accounting to ensure compliance with corporate deadlines
- Coordinate with Corporate Accounting, Revenue, Treasury teams for reporting and data requests along with any unusual transaction
- Responsible for local Statutory filings KSA entities, working with local accounting providers
- Responsible for Tax/VAT filings of KSA entities, working with third parties for preparation and oversight
- Ensure compliance with global policies and internal controls under SOX
- Participate in projects as accounting representative including SAP projects
- Point of contact for external and internal auditors
- Assisting Corporate Tax Team with Transfer Pricing
- Oversee overall condition of the entity, prepare monthly cash flow Forecast
- Oversee payroll for KSA entities
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
- Execute month end close process (account for: accruals, prepayments, FAs, banks etc.)
- Preparation/review of quarterly finance statement fluctuation analysis
- Preparation and review of TB and statutory financial statements
- Working in conjunction with the external accounting firm to ensure local filings compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Preparation/review Blacklines BS reconciliations
- Liaises with tax authorities, government representatives, payroll/accounting company, tax consultants, internal and external auditors for what pertains to Finance and Accounting matters on the legal entities under his/her supervision,
- Liaises with the HR department for all payroll/personnel questions and issues,
- Liaises with counterparts in the other Align entities to exchange information and best practices.
- Proficient in general accounting under US GAAP and Local GAAP
- Understanding of internal control and SOX requirements
- Ability to partner with cross-functional groups to drive and influence business solutions; including interact with and influence senior management
- Problem solver, system oriented and strong analytical skills
- Excellent written, oral and communication skills to work with management and cross-functional groups
- Detailed-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge and experience in accounting operations with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, a proactive leadership and self-starter attitude
- Understanding of Corporate Tax, VAT and Payroll
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- At least 10 years of experience in General accounting / External Audit and Financial analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics – required. ACCA or equivalent
- Prior experience in both Big 4 Audit firm and high growth public company
- Experience of working with local ERP, SAP, and BI tools is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
- Good knowledge of basic computer operations and Microsoft Office tools
- Skill in establishing priorities and handling multiple projects simultaneously
