Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced accountant to join our team on a fixed term contract basis (12 months). You will be responsible for providing accurate financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting records; preparing balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and other reports. You will also assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans and identify risks to the business and opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares, analyzes, and maintains accounting records such as ledgers, financial statements, and reports for management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Analyze accounting records and prepare balance sheet, profit-and-loss statement, and other reports to determine or project earnings, expenses, tax liability, or other financial activities.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Identify risks to the business and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure timely payment of wages and benefits.
• Provide support during audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience working in accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
• Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must not have received any Disciplinary Action within the past 12 months.
• Must not have any Attendance and Punctuality issues in the past 12 month.
• Must have a Successful or above rating in the last Enabling Performance cycle.
