We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Account Manager to manage client accounts and support the delivery of integrated public affairs campaigns across various sectors. Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Account Manager to manage client accounts and support the delivery of integrated public affairs campaigns across various sectors. This role is ideal for someone passionate about political strategy, stakeholder engagement, and driving impactful communications initiatives. The candidate will work within a collaborative environment, supporting both client service and business development while contributing to APCO’s growth in the KSA and across the region.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepares customized credential packages for prospective clients, highlighting APCO capabilities, relevant case studies, and high-level industry notes and observations (which requires a minimal review by project managers).
- Manage day-to-day operations of client accounts and campaigns across diverse sectors.
- Develop and implement integrated communications strategies across APCO’s international network.
- Conduct political research and monitoring to support clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Generate creative solutions to meet clients’ political and strategic objectives.
- Participate actively in new business development and support the growth of the KSA Public Affairs team.
- Attend think tank and policy events to stay informed and expand network visibility.
- Nurture and grow client relationships; assist in managing client teams and owning key projects.
- Leverage senior-level relationships within APCO KSA and globally to strengthen client engagement.
- Lead internal and client meetings, contribute strategic insights, and encourage collaborative ideation.
- Support the development of ad-hoc reports and assignments as requested by the direct manager
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in communications, public affairs, or client servicing.
- University degree in Business, Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Marketing, Communications, or Journalism.
- Familiarity with the KSA and regional political and communications landscape.
- Strong understanding of strategic communications, public affairs, and campaign planning.
- Solid knowledge of the regulatory and political landscape in KSA.
- Proven ability to build and maintain media and government stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated client relationship and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and apply market insights effectively.
- Proficient in using tools and resources to complete client tasks.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong customer service orientation.
- Based in Riyadh or willing to relocate.
