AC Technician

Job Summary:

The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will ensure that all HVAC systems operate efficiently, providing comfort and safety to building occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation:
• Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Maintenance:
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Clean and replace air filters, inspect ductwork, and check refrigerant levels.
• Repair:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and failures.
• Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, compressors, and thermostats.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of service requests.
• System Monitoring:
• Monitor HVAC systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while performing tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Customer Service:
• Communicate effectively with clients and building occupants to explain maintenance and repair needs.
• Provide excellent customer service and follow up on completed work to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an AC Technician or in a similar role.
• Experience with various HVAC systems and controls is highly desirable.
