AC/ DC Design Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing AC and DC electrical systems for a range of applications. As an AC/DC Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
• Design and develop AC and DC electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and circuitry, for various applications.
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit analysis to ensure system performance and safety.
• Select appropriate components, equipment, and materials for AC/DC electrical systems, considering factors such as cost, reliability, and availability.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Conduct design reviews to validate design concepts, identify potential issues, and optimize system performance.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical and structural engineers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure electrical components and equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, with a focus on AC and DC systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, power distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes relevant to electrical engineering (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Experience with electrical design tools and software (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
