Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating visually appealing displays and layouts to attract customers and increase sales by always respecting the guidelines of the store and its brands. Their primary goal is to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the products and the store environment from the in store to the window display as per theme and concept direction. They always must generate in store seasonal & promotional collateral in each timeframe and in a cost-effective manner.



• Design layout: Design and implement eye-catching and innovative displays to showcase products in an appealing and engaging manner. These displays may include window displays, interior displays, product showcases, and thematic setups that are always in line with the store and the mall’s guidelines
• Communication & collaboration: Be the bridge between the Visual merchandising Manager, the VM team and the Floor managers. And work closely with the Marketing team and retail teams to develop and execute merchandising plans that align with the overall business.
• Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of visual merchandising materials, props, and display items. Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure a sufficient supply of necessary materials. Always check that the stock has been steamed, properly tagged and priced as per brand standards & visual guidelines
• Monitor slow and fast sellers and communicate observations to the Visual merchandiser with suggestions and recommendations for appropriate and fast actions and decision making
• Operations: Support with the maintenance of all display equipment and materials used for in store displays, mannequins, windows and podiums. Ensure all items are carefully dismantled, packed and stored for future use
• Training and guidelines: Attend training sessions conducted by brands and the buying team to ensure display standards are maintained. Take photograph for feedback & brand reports when requested by brands. Train store staff on Visual merchandising standards and guidelines to maintain consistent visual presentation.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor visual merchandising strategies. Utilize this knowledge to continually improve and innovate the store's visual displays
• Project Management: Oversee quotations process, production and execution of set ups by internal team and/or external contractors
• Budget Management: Ensure that visual merchandising initiatives are executed within the allocated budget and seek cost-effective solutions when required.


Education/Certification and Continued Education
• Graduate in any discipline with tertiary qualifications in fine or commercial arts
• 3-5 years’ experience in VM/merchandising role

Knowledge and Skills
• Computer Literacy( Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator – Power point)
• Willingness and ability to work outside office hours and on weekends
• Creative with a passion for retail industry
