Technical Procurement Specialist - Industrial Equipment

We are seeking a Technical Procurement Specialist to join a newly established Dubai-based procurement business serving corporate clients worldwide. The company specializes in sourcing and purchasing industrial equipment, spare parts, machinery components, and other commercial goods from international suppliers.

The successful candidate will manage the procurement process independently, from understanding client requirements and identifying suitable suppliers to negotiating prices, coordinating purchases, and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement requests from initial enquiry through purchasing and delivery coordination.
• Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and product requirements to identify suitable products and suppliers.
• Source industrial equipment, machinery components, spare parts, and other commercial goods from international markets.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors.
• Request and compare supplier quotations based on pricing, quality, specifications, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders and follow up on order confirmations and deliveries.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Monitor order progress and resolve supply, pricing, or delivery-related issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical procurement, purchasing, or sourcing, preferably involving industrial equipment, machinery, spare parts, or engineering components.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and translate client requirements into appropriate purchasing solutions.
• Experience identifying suppliers, comparing quotations, and negotiating commercial terms.
• Established supplier and manufacturer contacts would be an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement requests.
• Fluent English communication skills are essential.
