At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior CSA Engineer to lead and manage Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) works on large-scale Data Centre construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, inspection, and delivery of all CSA activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations. Working closely with project managers, design consultants, subcontractors, MEP teams, commissioning teams, and client representatives, the Senior CSA Engineer will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical facilities within schedule and budget while maintaining the highest standards of construction excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Civil and Structural Construction Management

Responsible for managing all civil and structural construction activities, including site development, earthworks, foundations, underground utilities, structural steel, reinforced concrete structures, external works, and associated infrastructure. The role will ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, industry standards, and local regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, coordinate inspections, and support the achievement of key project milestones while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Architectural Scope Management

Oversee all architectural works associated with Data Centre facilities, including building envelopes, roofing systems, facades, waterproofing, fire-rated assemblies, internal finishes, raised floors, access systems, administration areas, support facilities, and external architectural elements. The role will ensure that architectural installations are completed to the required quality standards and are fully coordinated with structural and MEP systems to support the operational and performance requirements of mission-critical environments.

Data Centre Construction Coordination

Coordinate CSA activities within a highly complex Data Centre environment. The position will ensure that civil, structural, and architectural works are aligned with critical MEP installations, equipment delivery schedules, commissioning requirements, and operational readiness milestones. The role requires close collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams to facilitate the successful installation of generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, cooling equipment, cable infrastructure, and other mission-critical systems while maintaining programme objectives and construction sequencing requirements.

Design Review and Technical Support

Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and construction procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices. The role will identify design issues, recommend engineering solutions, coordinate technical clarifications, and support value engineering initiatives aimed at improving project efficiency, constructability, quality, and cost effectiveness. The successful candidate will work closely with consultants and design teams to ensure timely resolution of engineering and construction challenges.

Commissioning and Project Handover Support

Support commissioning, testing, and project handover activities by ensuring CSA systems and infrastructure are completed in accordance with project requirements and readiness criteria. The role will assist with punch list management, document turnover, as-built documentation reviews, and final inspections to facilitate successful project completion and client acceptance. Particular attention will be given to interfaces between CSA works and mission-critical infrastructure to support operational readiness and long-term facility performance.

Here's what you'll need

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, and possess a minimum of 12-15 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years on large-scale Data Centre, mission-critical, industrial, or complex infrastructure projects.

Proven experience managing CSA construction activities on fast-track projects and coordinating extensively with MEP and commissioning teams is essential.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural construction methods, reinforced concrete and structural steel construction, building envelopes, quality management systems, construction sequencing, and project coordination are required.

Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM platforms, Procore, Aconex, and other construction management systems will be advantageous.
