We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer specializing in Node.js and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong backend development experience, solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, databases, containerization, and Linux environments, with an understanding of modern DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Develop, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs.
  • Build and maintain backend applications using modern development practices.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data management and performance.
  • Manage and operate Docker containers and support application deployment.
  • Implement secure coding practices and protect applications against common security vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using Bash or PowerShell to automate operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and maintainable software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Support CI/CD processes and contribute to improving development and deployment workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong professional experience in backend software development using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Practical experience managing and operating Docker.
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Good understanding of secure coding practices, particularly OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux environments.
  • Experience writing scripts for Linux or Windows environments using Bash or PowerShell.
  • Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and deploying applications on Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with the NestJS framework.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and developing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools.
