Job Location: Jeddah
Job Purpose:
To achieve individual and team commercial targets by leading sales execution, developing high-value customer portfolios, coaching sales team members, and driving sustainable gross profit growth in alignment with the Company's commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the development of the annual sales plan and GP targets.
- Allocates individual targets across the team, owns forecast accuracy, and conducts regular pipeline and performance reviews to achieve agreed GP and GP margin targets.
- Achieves individually assigned GP and GP margin targets and is accountable for the sales team's collective performance against the Company target.
- Identifies, qualifies, and closes new business opportunities from company-assigned and self-sourced leads.
- Advises clients on complex logistics solutions, transport modes, routing options, and value-added services, while providing commercial guidance and support to the sales team to ensure recommendations balance commercial value, operational feasibility, compliance obligations, and customer objectives.
- Develops and manages a portfolio of high-value and business-significant clients while directing the team's client portfolio development strategy to maximize customer retention, gross profit growth, shipment volume, cross-selling opportunities, and long-term commercial value.
- Coaches and mentors sales team members through regular guidance, deal reviews, field support, and performance feedback to improve individual capability and results.
- Directs the team's prospecting effort toward its highest-value opportunities.
- Reviews team commercial performance against assigned GP, GP margin targets, agreed KPIs, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and CRM compliance.
- Prepares management reports with performance insights and improvement recommendations.
- Oversees pricing, negotiation, and tender approach across the team, prioritizing bids by strategic value and ensuring proposals, agreed terms, and submissions remain commercially sound, compliant, and consistent with strategy.
- Reviews customer credit requirements, recommends appropriate credit terms, and monitors AR and collection aging performance to manage commercial risk.
- Resolves operational escalations and ensures alignment between the sales team's commitments and operational capacity, owning recurring service recovery issues.
- Ensures consistent implementation of commercial policies, pricing governance, CRM discipline, sales processes, and ethical conduct standards across the team.
- Monitors market, competitive, and trade dynamics, and stays current on relevant trends, laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure timely awareness and implementation of any applicable changes.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
- 8-10 years of experience, with prior sales management experience in freight forwarding or logistics
- A valid driving license.
- Fluency in English.
- A strong local and international network of vendors and service providers (preferred).
