Job Description

We are seeking experienced Safety Inspectors (HSE) to join the supervision consultancy team for a large-scale infrastructure development project located approximately 100 km north of Jeddah. The selected candidates will assist in monitoring site activities and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all construction works.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site safety inspections to ensure compliance with approved HSE procedures and project safety requirements.
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure safe execution of construction works.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and report them to the Safety Engineer and project management team.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers on site.
  • Monitor construction activities related to road networks and multi-utility infrastructure, including:
    • Potable water networks
    • Firefighting systems
    • Gas distribution systems
    • Stormwater drainage and sanitary sewage systems
    • Power distribution (MV & LV)
    • Street lighting and telecom infrastructure
    • Irrigation and landscape works
  • Assist in conducting toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
  • Support investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses and maintain safety records.
  • Ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and HSE plans.
  • Maintain site safety reports, inspection records, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction health and safety for infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in roads and multi-utility infrastructure works.
  • Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms in a supervision capacity is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of construction safety procedures and HSE standards.
  • Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
