We are looking for SABER Product Certification Specialist who will act as the focal point for all SABER-related activities across KONE Saudi Arabia operations, including elevators, escalators, spare parts, components, and other imported materials. The role will work closely with Sales and Services teams, Project Manager, Customer Solution engineering (CSE), Logistics, Global Trade Compliance, Codes & Standards, Procurement, Supply Chain, KONE Spares (GSS), Finance, operational teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, SASO, ZATCA, and certification bodies to ensure compliance readiness and smooth customs clearance processes.
In addition, SABER Product Certification Specialist will also support the business through continuous monitoring of compliance requirements, document validity, registration renewals, and coordination of regulatory approvals required for importing materials into the Saudi market.
What will you do?
- Managing all SABER product registration activities in Saudi Arabia for KONE. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, efficient, and compliant SABER registration processes.
- Manage the end-to-end SABER registration process, including liaising with Sales and Services teams to keep track of materials that require SABER registration before importation.
- Collecting and organizing all required technical documentation for each material (linked to KM numbers),
- provide guidance to internal teams on conformity requirements, and certification pathways
- Ensuring documents are valid and renewed prior to expiration and coordinating with certification bodies.
- Staying up to date with relevant SASO technical regulations and ensuring that all KONE products and externally sourced components imported into Saudi Arabia meet applicable requirements.
- Regular communication with SASO to get assistance on clarity when there are challenges with application of technical regulations and certification requirements.
- Work closely with the KONE Global Trade Compliance team to ensure the correct HS codes are assigned to each part, enabling the selection of the appropriate technical verification scheme. It will also liaise with KONE Codes & Standards to map required technical requirements for products, parts and materials.
- Maintains an accurate and up-to-date list of all materials imported into Saudi Arabia by KONE.
- Involves close coordination with the logistics team to ensure that shipment certificates are issued on time, preventing delays in customs clearance.
- Active collaboration with key stakeholders involved in supporting SABER registration, including Purchasing and technical teams, to facilitate the timely collection and validation of required technical documentation, ensuring business continuity and regulatory compliance.
- Manage certification costs, and handling billing processes with certification bodies to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Validity of SCoC documents during import.
- Updated list of materials that require SABER registration with expiration date
- Validity of technical documents renewal schedule.
Are you the one?
- Hold Diploma/Bacholer in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Minuimum5 years relevant work experience.
- Excellent experience in Saber registration process.
- Strong exposure to KSA market.
- Cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent English & Arabic communication skills.
- SAB experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
