Quality Inspector II

Job Description:

• Perform in-process and final inspections of aluminum beverage cans according to established specifications, blueprints, and quality control procedures.
• Utilize various measuring tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and vision systems, to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
• Identify and document non-conforming products, initiate corrective action requests, and follow up on their resolution.
• Conduct visual inspections for cosmetic defects, print quality, and overall product integrity.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records and reports.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and participate in problem-solving activities.
• Collaborate with production personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and provide feedback on quality-related issues.
• Monitor and verify the calibration status of inspection equipment.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably in can manufacturing or a related industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and quality specifications.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
• Experience with various measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to identify and document defects accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
