Project Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Control Engineer to join our team, supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions within railway projects. The Project Control Engineer will be participating in integrated project controls functions including planning, scheduling, cost management, reporting, change control, and performance monitoring across the programme. You will work across a range of projects, supporting clients in delivering efficient, reliable, and future-ready rail infrastructure.

Your role

• Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule of the project according to owner standards and approved scheduling tools.

• Repeated below

• Assess progress measurement and develop/update progress curves for progress reporting.

• Responsible for EVM during all project stages. Perform Current Schedule and Cost (EV, AC) vs. Performance Measurement Baseline, compare and highlight major activity deviations between the original baseline and the current plan based on weekly and monthly updates.

• Perform Critical Path Analysis, identify and analyse critical paths/activities to ascertain project completion in time and in budget, including forecasting delays and evaluation of alternative scenarios.

• Responsible for developing, implementing, feeding, reconciling, and maintaining valuable project control databases and reports for projects.

• Manage and ensure the reconciliation of program controls data with financial and performance systems, coordinating with Project Managers.

• Produce required accounting and project cost reports including analysis on deviations, under-runs, and over-runs.

• Prepare forecasts and cost trend reports. Review and evaluate trends and their impact on project costs.

• Monitor project costs and commitment to budget and forecast.

• Maintaining change control and the change order register.

• Support the Project Controls Manager in creating and administering project execution plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

• Support the Project Controls Mmanager on day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope including project monitoring and controls during the project lifecycle.

About you

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Controls.

• Project management or project controls certification: PMP, or PMI-SP or similar preferred.

• Primavera P6 experience required.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related discipline.

• Good interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with project managers and subconsultants.

• Must have good analytical ability and technical skills.

• Must be articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and good decision-making abilities.

• Must have a general understanding in the areas of Project Management, Railway Systems Design & Construction, Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling.

• Experience performing engineering work in accordance with railway systems procedures, standards, and practices, and KSA regulatory requirements preferred.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions in dynamic project environments.

• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality report outcomes.
