Job Description


The Registrar in Pediatrics is responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to pediatrics. This role integrates clinical expertise in pediatrics to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions. The Registrar will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans, ensure clinical quality and safety, and enhance patient satisfaction while committing to ongoing professional development.

Assessment and Diagnosi: •
Conduct thorough assessments and accurate diagnoses of pediatric patients through telehealth consultations.
• Collect comprehensive patient histories, including developmental milestones, medical history, vaccination history and family history
• Perform virtual physical examinations utilizing telehealth technology to assess symptoms and conditions.
• Analyze and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab results and imaging studies relevant to pediatric care.
• Conduct appointment consultations and instant consultations.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to establish treatment goals and preferences.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications in accordance with pediatric guidelines.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment through follow-up telehealth consultations and adjust plans as necessary.

Clinical Quality and Safe Practice:
• Uphold clinical quality standards and ensure safe practices.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Report and analyze incidents or adverse events.
• Implement clinical protocols and evidence-based guidelines to enhance patient safety.
• Address any incidents or safety concerns immediately and effectively.

Collaboration with Healthcare Providers:
• Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
• Lead and participate in regular case discussions with healthcare team members.
• Share patient insights and progress updates with other providers.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare services as needed.

Professional Development and Compliance:
• Engage in ongoing professional development and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and training programs.
• Maintain awareness of changes in clinical guidelines and best practices.

Patient Safety and Satisfaction:
• Promote patient safety and enhance patient satisfaction throughout the care process.
• Implement patient safety protocols and best practices.
• Solicit and analyze patient feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Address patient concerns and ensure effective communication regarding their care.


Skills


•

Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in Pediatrics from an accredited program.
• Board certification in Pediatrics or equivalent.
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Registrar – Pediatrics
• Proficiency in telehealth technologies and platforms.
• Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with medical clinical assessment tools.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine platforms.
• Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in Pediatrics, population health management, and value-based care.
• Arabic and English Language Proficiency.
