Job Details
Media Relations Planning and Management
- Perform internal assessment to identify gaps and requirements in the area of media via traditional channels
- Perform research to identify leading and best practices and policies in media relations to be implemented at ZATCA
- Develop media strategy, approach, policies and processes based on internal assessment results and research findings to ensure efficient dissemination of information to the target audience via traditional channels
- Develop implementation plans, schedule, calendar, and budget for media relations activities including traditional channels activities to ensure systematic implementation
- Develop media monitoring and reporting approach and media screening plan to achieve PR goals and objectives
- Develop detailed responses to media mentions in traditional channels in line with communication strategy, content development guidelines and ZATCA’s interests
- Identify, assess, recommend, and engage with media partners across all traditional channels that best fit ZATCA’s brand image
- Build and maintain relationships with local, regional and global media partners ensuring proper media engagement across traditional channels
- Secure space in various forms of mass media for the advertisement of ZATCA by engaging in media buying by negotiating, purchasing and monitoring advertising space and airtime at lowest possible cost
- Coordinate with the Spokesperson for media appearance, as well as prepare for interviews
- Handle external facing communication for traditional channels including newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, billboards, etc. ensuring protection of ZATCA’s image and brand
- Publish communication, promotional and advertisement material across ZATCA’s traditional channels
- Perform coverages and documentation of ZATCA's external and internal contributions
- Monitor the execution of media strategy, recommend corrective actions for deviations and escalate discrepancies for resolution
- Monitor the dissemination of marketing and communication content for assigned traditional communications channels ensuring alignment with brand image
- Develop and distribute surveys and collect media reach metrics and data from all traditional channels to evaluate and analyze results for enhanced planning and accordingly recommend needed updates to the branding strategy to optimize ZATCA brand reach and awareness
- Develop periodical reports highlighting findings for improvement based on media monitoring plan to achieve PR goals and objectives
- Monitor and evaluate media agencies’ performance in terms of quality, capacity, and cost for decision-making purposes and accordingly provide suggestions to top management to improve decision-making
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
- Perform other duties as requested
