Lead and develop the company’s Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights capability, providing forward-looking insights on markets, industries, competitors, technologies, and emerging opportunities.

The role is responsible for establishing the frameworks, methodologies, and intelligence processes needed to understand market dynamics, identify opportunities and risks, assess external factors, and translate market intelligence into actionable strategic insights that support decision-making and long-term growth.

Market & Industry Intelligence

• Develop and maintain market intelligence frameworks, classifications, and knowledge repositories.
• Assess market size, growth, customer segments, attractiveness, and emerging opportunities.
• Validate market data using reliable intelligence sources and methodologies.
• Translate market insights into strategic recommendations.

Competitive & Benchmarking Intelligence

• Develop competitor and benchmarking frameworks and maintain competitive intelligence.
• Analyze competitor positioning, value chains, and ecosystem dynamics.
• Identify competitive advantages, risks, opportunities, and industry shifts affecting competitiveness.

Strategic Foresight & External Trends

• Monitor economic, regulatory, technological, geopolitical, and industry developments.
• Maintain market and technology trend monitoring, particularly within energy, electricity, infrastructure, and related sectors.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, disruption risks, and future scenarios to support strategic planning.

Strategic Studies & Opportunity Assessment

• Lead assessments of market entry, growth, diversification, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities based on strategic fit, market attractiveness, commercial potential, and risk.
• Connect market insights with business and financial implications and provide actionable recommendations.

Strategic Insights & Decision Support

• Convert market, competitor, and external intelligence into actionable strategic insights.
• Identify key opportunities, threats, and implications.
• Support executive decision-making through concise, evidence-based recommendations.

Capability Development & Governance

• Define and drive the Market Intelligence roadmap, methodologies, priorities, and research agenda.
• Enhance frameworks, tools, data sources, monitoring processes, and knowledge management.
• Build and mature the Market Intelligence capability using research platforms, analytics, digital tools, and AI.

Acts as the functional lead for Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights within Corporate Strategy, responsible for establishing methodologies, analytical frameworks, and the research agenda. Provides market and external intelligence that enables strategic decision-making while leading critical analyses and continuously advancing the capability.

• Strong experience in market analysis, competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and strategic studies.
• Energy, electricity, or related industry experience is preferred.
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
