Job Brief:
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Logistics Officer to manage inbound and outbound shipments, coordinate with shipping lines and freight agents, and ensure smooth logistics operations within the region. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of local customs procedures, import/export documentation, and hands-on experience using SAP for logistics processes. The role requires excellent coordination skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies to arrange trailers and containers for inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Manage the full cycle of logistics operations, including shipment planning, execution, and follow-up.
- Prepare and verify local customs documentation, including import declarations, export documentation, and clearance files for Jubail and other ports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Handle import and export clearance processes for sea freight and land freight within the country.
- Prepare monthly logistics reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a smooth supply chain and production support.
- Negotiate shipping rates, transport charges, and logistics terms to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with regional logistics regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of logistics experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector in the region.
- At least 3 years of hands-on SAP experience, preferably in logistics or supply chain modules.
- Proven experience coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies for inbound, outbound, export, and local deliveries.
- Strong understanding of regional import and export clearance documentation, including sea freight and land freight processes.
- Solid knowledge of ZATCA customs procedures, FASAH system, and other port operations.
- Ability to maintain accurate shipment records and logistics documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with experience preparing monthly operational and performance reports.
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills in English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
