Junior CSS Developer

About the role
In this position, you will work closely with our engineering team to translate design requirements into high quality code. Being a fully remote role, it requires a high degree of self management and a commitment to clear, written communication. You will be responsible for the visual layer of our tools, ensuring that the data our partners rely on is presented with accuracy and stability. This is an entry level role designed for someone who takes pride in the technical details of web styling and wants to build a career in a professional investment environment.

What you will do

• Convert visual design mockups into semantic HTML and structured CSS.
• Maintain and update internal style guides to ensure visual consistency across all platforms.
• Perform cross browser testing to ensure a reliable user experience for all partners.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure layouts work effectively on all screen sizes.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate styles into existing web applications.
• Identify and fix visual bugs or layout inconsistencies in a timely manner.
• Document CSS architectures and component libraries for future reference.
• Support the team in improving the loading performance of web interfaces through efficient styling.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and maintain high code quality standards.

What we are looking for

• A solid understanding of basic HTML5 and CSS3 principles.
• Familiarity with layout systems including Flexbox and CSS Grid.
• Basic knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
• An interest in learning about CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less.
