Project Overview

Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports.

Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of a state of the art international airport in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

King Salman International Airport will have a capacity of up to 120 million travellers by 2030 and 185 million travellers by 2050, and the capacity to process up to 3.5 million tons of cargo by 2050. Bechtel will provide PMC services for three new terminals; Terminal 6 is a new build ‘low cost carrier’ – hyper efficient terminal with gross floor area of ≈450,000m2, capacity of 20mppa; Iconic Terminal is a new build ‘new concept’ terminal with gross floor area of ≈ 1M m2, capacity of 40 to 45 mppa, and Private Aviation Terminal and hangars for VIPs and business jet passengers.

Job Summary

Bechtel is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join the King Salman International Airport (KSIA) project, reporting to the Project IT Manager. In this role, you will deploy computer hardware, provide deskside support to end users, support the network infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms. You will develop reports, dashboards, automate workflows and maintain IT asset inventory. Your support will enhance technological efficiency, contributing to project success and client satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities

• Implements and supports IT hardware deployments, network infrastructure systems and provides deskside support to end users
• Work with the Project IT Manager to establish IT requirements to support project execution.
• Installs and supports GBU standard applications
• Supports Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook and collaboration platforms)
• Works closely with corporate GIO to follow hardware deployment standards and follows and adheres to Corporate, GBU and Project IT procedures, standards, and security requirements
• Maintains IT asset inventory in ServiceNOW and manage IT stockrooms.
• Participates in requirements reviews with functions and other business stakeholders.
• Reviews and understands the business application portfolio processes.
• Completes portions of the GBU portfolio updates under direction
• Contributes to IT plans, and understand Divisions of Responsibility with contractors, partners and client
• Develops IT support guides and user trainings.
  
  

Education And Experience Requirements

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
• Microsoft Fundamentals course(s) desirable
• Cisco CCNA desirable
• Microsoft MCSE desirable
  
  

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Support automation / IT on large construction projects
• Ability to work within an integrated Bechtel/client team at all levels.
• Ability to identify, track, escalate, and resolve problems using basic techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems.
• Advanced SharePoint / Teams / Teams Voice / Microsoft 365 skills
• Knowledge of the software and integration architecture for document management, project controls, Autodesk suite, workflows and dashboards.
• Awareness of Netskope client and Silver Peak routers for troubleshooting issues
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills and the ability to document technical processes required.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding organisational skills and the ability to influence others
