IT Audit Manager

The job holder is responsible for guiding the development of the internal IT audit program, securing necessary resources, ensuring the implementation and execution of internal audit plan as well as following up on internal audit reporting for each department in order to issue related improvement action plan.

• Develop IT Audit’s policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned IT Audit’s activity and provide continuous improvement recommendations.‎
• Develop IT Audit’s strategic and operational plans, ensuring alignment to WTCO’s strategy, vision, mission, and corporate objectives.
• ‎Develop IT Audit’s budget and ensure potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
• ‎Fulfil ESG responsibilities and requirements in line with strategy and ESG related initiatives.
• ‎Set IT Audit’s KPIs and monitor progress and development towards WTCO strategic objectives.
• ‎Identify the management needs of competencies, talents and provide recommendations with regards to human resources decisions.
• ‎Develop all IT Audit’s reports in a timely and accurately manner while ensure meeting the requirements, policies, and quality standards.
• ‎Delegate duties, responsibilities, and authorities to appropriate team members within the business in case of absence.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of IT Audit’s systems and practices taking into consideration leading practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
• ‎Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
• ‎Ensures the compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and standards within WTCO and related functions such as and not limited to (HC, HSSE, Risk and Cybersecurity, etc..).
• ‎Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Manage the execution of audits according to the annual internal audit plan and programs based on the international standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and guidance of the top management.
• Participate in developing the “Audit Universe” to define the auditable units within WTCO and ensure improving operational efficiency.
• Finalize the development of annual internal audit plan to monitor IT activities and ensure the progression and accomplishment of the approved plan.
• Review internal audit checks and engagement as per the internal audit annual operational plans in line with related strategy, and based on WTTCO’ strategic objectives, identified audit needs, and risk impact results to assess its compliance with approved standards and investigate irregularities and nonconformities.

• Review information / data requests to ensure that the same is comprehensive covering all areas in the approved audit programs.
• Guide the development of audit procedures, needed tools, checklist and forms in line with international standards to ensure consistent and effective practices.
• Ensure communication of the audit program to auditors ensuring audit scope, objectives, key areas to be assessed are clearly defined in the audit program with audit dates, periods and focal points.
• Ensure audit opening and closure meetings are held before and after every audit engagement to confirm audit objectives, scope and methodology and discuss audit findings.
• Monitor the assessment of audit risk and developing audit priorities and ensure that the audit objectives are in line with the objectives and risks identified at the time of risk assessment and internal audit planning.
• Conduct complex internal audit engagement for critical IT activities and/or with upper management when needed.
• Ensure departments readiness for external audit engagement and follow up on reported findings and related improvement action plan.
• Review draft audit reports to ensure that all findings have appropriate disposition considering the facts, criticality and preliminary justification provided by the management for approval.
• Consolidate audit reports into a quarterly or annual report including audit findings, non-conformities, and improvement action plans for each department.
• Build and maintain solid relations with externals stakeholders such as governmental entities and consultants to serve WTCO’s best interest.
• Approve reports and presentations related to IT Audit Department activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making.
