Basic Functions:
The basic function of the Commissioning Instrumentation / Analyzer Specialist
is to ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for the Instrumentation / Analyzer discipline are prepared and executed according to
the OPERCOM methodology in a safe manner and according to the planned
schedule.
Main Accountabilities:
The main accountabilities include ensuring that HSE is given the highest priority, coordinating and approving the quality and completeness of deliverables, assisting Commissioning Unit leaders in witnessing and monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, reviewing precommissioning dossiers, and monitoring all Instrument / Analyzer Commissioning activities.
Qualifications:
The qualifications for this position include an engineer level or above education, high knowledge of instrumentation / analyzer activities within the Oil and Gas refinery, a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position, and specific skills such as knowledge of Management of EPCC contracts and OPERCOM and ICAPS. Additionally, the candidate should be methodic, organized, have a good team spirit, and be fluent in English, with Arabic being a plus.
1) Experience in OPERCOM and ICAPS application
2) At least 15 years of experience in Oil&Gas industry, including ~10 years of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning
3) Experience in commissioning of ICSS (DCS; FGS, ESD, SIS) systems (preferably Emerson); including SAT and Instrument loop tests (Field devices; Control Valves; On/off valves; Analyzers; FGS detectors).
4) Responsible for overseeing I&C commissioning activities performed by contractor; loop test progress monitoring and reporting; assistance in troubleshooting.
