Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Delivery owns the end-to-end design, planning, delivery, and operation of the global AWS infrastructure footprint — the backbone that enables the cloud to operate at scale. We are seeking an ID Install Technician to support network infrastructure deployment and expansion within our next-generation data center environments.

This role requires operating with a high degree of autonomy in fast-paced, mission-critical environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and execution standards.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical judgment, disciplined operational practices, and proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure deployments.

Success in this role requires strong implementation and troubleshooting capabilities, structured documentation practices, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and operational stakeholders.

The ability to execute efficiently under pressure, adapt quickly to evolving priorities, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams is essential.

Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments is required, along with strong implementation, troubleshooting, and structured documentation capabilities. Success in this role depends on effective written and verbal communication, disciplined operational practices, and the ability to collaborate efficiently across technical teams, stakeholders, and customers.

You must be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, maintain composure under pressure, and contribute effectively within highly collaborative environments where precision, accountability, and execution excellence are critical to operational success.

Key job responsibilities

• As an ID Install Technician, you support deployment of next-generation network infrastructure across global data centers.
• Your day includes rack installation, structured cabling, hardware deployment, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and accurate delivery at scale.
• You work closely with Network Engineering, Operations, Security, and Logistics teams to execute infrastructure builds with precision and efficiency.
• The role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments with minimal supervision.
• You proactively identify risks, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and deliver consistent operational excellence across complex, high-impact deployments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
• Experience in computer networking
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networks
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
• Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
• Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science
• Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
• Knowledge of server hardware and components
