The HR Operations Specialist (Payroll) is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting HR operations and employee lifecycle activities. This role works closely with Finance, HR, and external payroll providers to maintain payroll compliance, data integrity, and a positive employee experience.

Payroll Administration

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
  • Review payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, overtime, and deductions.
  • Validate payroll data and resolve discrepancies before payroll submission.
  • Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll execution.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, social insurance requirements, and company policies.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation as required.
  • Manage employee payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions.

HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Process employment letters, salary certificates, and HR documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave balances, and timekeeping records for payroll purposes.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied.
  • Support HR audits and compliance reviews.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics for management decision-making.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll data.
  • Stay updated on labor law, payroll, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in HR projects and system enhancements as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll Administration, or a similar role.

Experience processing payroll for medium to large employee populations is preferred.

Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
