General Manager – Pre-Opening | Earth Riyadh

As a General Manager, you are responsible for bringing Earth Riyadh to life.

From construction handover to opening day and beyond, you will lead the creation of a hotel that feels more like a community than a traditional hospitality operation. You will oversee every aspect of the pre-opening journey, including recruitment, culture building, operational readiness, commercial performance, guest experience, and brand delivery.

Earth Riyadh is more than a hotel. It is a social destination built around design, food, wellness, creativity, and human connection. The General Manager will be the on-property custodian of this vision, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the Earth Hotels philosophy of creating joyful places that inspire people to wake up every day. This role requires a highly visible, hands-on leader who thrives in lifestyle hospitality environments and enjoys building something from the ground up.

What on Earth Will You Do?

• Lead the complete pre-opening process from project handover through launch and stabilization.
• Work closely with Development, Design, Technical Services, Brand, Finance, and Citizen & Culture teams to ensure all critical milestones are achieved.
• Build and execute the opening critical path, ensuring operational readiness across every department.
• Participate in design reviews, mock-up rooms, operational planning, and owner walkthroughs.
• Oversee procurement, OS&E installation, testing, commissioning, and departmental readiness.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop the opening leadership team and wider citizen community.
• Create an opening culture that reflects the energy and values of Earth Hotels from day one.
• Lead all hotel operations to ensure seamless daily performance across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Wellness, Retail, Engineering, Finance, and People & Culture.
• Create a guest-first environment where every Earthling feels welcomed, inspired, and connected.
• Maintain exceptional standards across service, cleanliness, presentation, and safety.
• Monitor guest feedback and continuously evolve the experience through innovation and creativity.
• Remain highly visible throughout the property, engaging with guests and citizens daily.
• Position Earth Riyadh as one of the city's most exciting lifestyle destinations.
• Champion activations across F&B, wellness, retail, music, art, and community events.
• Build relationships with local creators, artists, wellness practitioners, brands, and entrepreneurs.
• Drive a culture where the hotel feels alive every day through thoughtful programming and collaborations.
• Ensure the property remains authentic to the Earth Hotels identity of creativity, inclusivity, and connection.
• Deliver annual revenue, GOP, and EBITDA targets.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and asset protection.
• Work closely with Revenue, Sales, and Marketing teams to optimize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total hotel revenue.
• Drive strong performance across accommodation, destination dining, wellness, memberships, events, and retail experiences.
• Identify new partnerships and commercial opportunities that strengthen the Earth brand and improve profitability.
• Ensure the hotel's restaurants, cafés, retail spaces, and wellness facilities become destination venues in their own right.
• Work closely with the F&B and Wellness leaders to curate experiences that drive both guest satisfaction and local engagement.
• Maintain high standards across product quality, programming, atmosphere, and service delivery.
• Champion innovation while ensuring commercial viability.
• Recruit, inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team.
• Build a culture that is collaborative, inclusive, entrepreneurial, and accountable.
• Ensure strong succession planning and talent development throughout the property.
• Foster an environment where citizens feel empowered to contribute ideas and shape the guest experience.
• Partner closely with Citizen & Culture to maintain high engagement and retention.
• Act as the ultimate guardian of the Earth Hotels brand on property.
• Ensure the hotel's design, service style, energy, and experiences consistently reflect the Earth philosophy.
• Challenge traditional hospitality thinking and encourage continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation across operations, guest engagement, technology, and sustainability.
• Build meaningful relationships with local partners, suppliers, government stakeholders, and the wider community.
• Champion sustainable operating practices throughout the hotel.
• Support initiatives that create positive environmental and social impact.
• Position the hotel as a responsible and engaged member of the local community.
• Ensure full compliance with all Saudi regulations, licensing requirements, health and safety legislation, and Earth Hotels policies.
• Maintain operational readiness for audits and inspections.
• Oversee emergency procedures, security protocols, and crisis management planning.
• Provide regular operational and commercial updates to ownership and corporate leadership.
• Monitor and report on all key financial, operational, guest satisfaction, and people metrics.
• Represent Earth Hotels professionally within the market and the broader hospitality industry.
• Lead by example and embody the values and culture of the brand.
• Ensure all health, safety, hygiene, and service standards are consistently maintained.
• Promote a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for Earthlings and citizens alike.
