Job Description:
The General Manager of Operations & Production Excellence is a senior-management position responsible for driving operational effectiveness, enhancing production capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes. The incumbent will develop strategic initiatives based on data-driven insights, streamline operations to maximize efficiency, and ensure alignment between production goals and overall business objectives. This role demands a holistic approach to operational leadership and the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams towards a unified vision of excellence. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, strategic foresight, and an ability to implement robust processes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 7 years in a senior-management role.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence initiatives that significantly enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies, demonstrating successful application in previous roles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Strong leadership capabilities, exemplifying the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across various functions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Experience in budget preparation, financial planning, and resource allocation, ensuring that operational goals align with financial objectives.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements, with a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and quality.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
