Job Description:

The General Manager – Healthcare Operations will serve as a pivotal leader within our organization, overseeing the administration and strategic direction of diverse healthcare services. This role requires a seasoned executive with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations, including regulatory compliance, financial management, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional ability to analyze complex data and drive evidence-based decision-making to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes. As a key member of the leadership team, the General Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability while ensuring that the organization’s goals are met with the highest standards of operational excellence. This role requires significant expertise in stakeholder engagement, team development, and performance management to effectively navigate challenges and seize growth opportunities within the dynamic healthcare landscape.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or a closely related field, with 5 years in an executive-level role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale healthcare operations, particularly in multi-facility settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and reimbursement structures at both state and federal levels.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a history of building, mentoring, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data interpretation to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with various stakeholders including board members, physicians, and staff.
  • Experience in change management, possessing a strong understanding of how to navigate and lead teams through periods of transformation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization’s operational strategy to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and improved patient care.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to enhance the quality of care and optimize patient experiences by leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Manage financial performance across facilities, including budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, and revenue cycle management.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, payers, and community organizations, to enhance collaboration and communication.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives that promote operational excellence and efficiency within all departments.
  • Drive workforce planning and talent management activities, including recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of staff.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices, adapting organizational strategies to maintain competitive advantage in the healthcare market.
  • Develop and oversee metrics to assess operational performance, providing regular reports to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Lead crisis management efforts and risk mitigation strategies to ensure organizational resilience and safety of operations.
