Accountant

  1. Financial Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
    • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  2. Preparation of Financial Statements:
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
  3. Reconciliations:
    • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
    • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  4. Supporting Audits:
    • Prepare financial documentation for audits.
    • Assist in the coordination of external audits.
  5. Budget Monitoring:
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
    • Provide variance reports to management.
  6. Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
    • Stay updated on changes in financial legislation and best practices.
  7. Accounting Software:
    • Utilize accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) for transactions and reporting.
    • Assist in implementing new financial software solutions.
  8. Internal Controls:
    • Assist in maintaining and enforcing internal controls.
    • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
  9. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
    • Support the finance team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks.

Requirements

Educational Background

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional Experience

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis functions.

Certifications

  • ZAT or IFRS other relevant certification is a plus but not required.
