Field Service Engineer

A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves supporting maintenance, outage, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems while ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient project execution. You collaborate closely with field teams, site management, engineering specialists, and customers, gaining hands-on technical experience and developing your leadership capabilities across power generation projects in Saudi Arabia and international locations.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Support maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, commissioning, repair, assembly, and disassembly activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Supervise and coordinate small to medium-sized field service teams, technicians, and subcontractors during outage and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with Site Leads, Service Engineering teams, and customers to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project execution.
• Review technical documentation, participate in customer meetings, prepare service reports, and provide technical recommendations and project updates.
• Support outage planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, spare parts and tooling requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and EHS compliance.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 2-3 years of experience in field service, power generation, heavy industry, or rotating equipment environments.
• Basic knowledge of power plant operations, turbine and generator auxiliary systems, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication, teamwork, leadership potential, and ability to prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80%) across Saudi Arabia and internationally, with flexibility to work demanding outage schedules and shifts.
• Exposure to steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, outage execution, and industrial energy projects, with familiarity with Siemens Energy standards considered an advantage.
