The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The role supervises service staff, coordinates operational activities, and supports management in achieving departmental objectives related to guest satisfaction, quality, revenue, and productivity.

Location: Jeddah, Delta Marriot Hotel

Key Responsibilities
Operational Supervision
  • Supervise the daily operations of assigned Food & Beverage outlets to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Monitor service flow and ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service.

  • Ensure outlets are properly prepared before opening and maintained throughout operating hours.

  • Support opening and closing procedures and ensure compliance with operational standards.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.

  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, complaints, and service recovery situations professionally.

  • Monitor guest feedback and communicate improvement opportunities to management.

  • Recognize VIP guests and support personalized service initiatives.

  • Ensure service standards are consistently followed by all team members.

Team Leadership & Staff Supervision
  • Supervise Waiters, Captains, Hosts, Restaurant Ambassadors, and other outlet staff.

  • Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational updates.

  • Assign duties and monitor staff performance throughout shifts.

  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and support to team members.

  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and professional conduct.

Quality Assurance
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service consistency.

  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, brand standards, and service procedures.

  • Conduct routine inspections of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.

  • Identify and address operational issues promptly.

Inventory & Cost Control
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and operational supplies.

  • Support stock control procedures and minimize waste.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of food, beverages, and equipment.

  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management.

Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Ensure staff follow health and safety procedures at all times.

  • Report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing operational reports and shift documentation.

  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and staff scheduling requirements.

  • Support management with performance evaluations and training records.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and operational planning activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, including supervisory experience.

  • Experience in hotels, resorts, restaurants, or hospitality establishments is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, guest service standards, and food & beverage procedures.

  • Knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards.

  • Good command of English; additional languages are considered an advantage.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and peak operational periods.

  • For expatriate candidates, a valid transferable Iqama is preferred.
