Depot & Inventory Auditor

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inventory audits at plant warehouses and depots.
• Perform scheduled and surprise stock counts and reconciliations.
• Verify physical inventory against ERP/system records and investigate variances.
• Review inventory movement transactions, receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures.
• Monitor inventory controls and identify weaknesses or control gaps.
• Prepare audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Follow up on corrective actions arising from audit findings.
• Validate inventory aging, slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete stock.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory verification activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to resolve inventory issues.
• Assist management in improving inventory accuracy and safeguarding company assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Auditing, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Qualified Accountant (CPA, CMA, CIMA) is desirable but not required.
• 3–5 years of experience in inventory auditing, warehouse auditing, or inventory control.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, or logistics environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Good understanding of internal controls, inventory accounting, and audit procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP reporting tools.
