Data Analytics Internship

Arabian Private Holdings

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Dammam
Contract type: Full time
About the Role
This internship position exists to provide dedicated analytical support to our project teams during complex advisory projects. We are currently supporting a major regional energy operator to analyze operational efficiency and asset allocation, which requires rigorous analysis of raw data. This role is designed to translate complex corporate and operational datasets into clear, structured models that support high-level decision-making.

About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large-firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred-page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. Our principal-led structure ensures that every client receives direct attention from the partners who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work focuses on portfolio clarity, corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities. We operate as a hybrid firm, combining weekly face-to-face collaboration with independent remote analysis, choosing to prioritize the depth of our insights and the strength of our client relationships over traditional corporate overhead.

What You Will Do
  • Organize and clean complex datasets from different holding companies to help track operational trends.
  • Build clean, functional spreadsheets to model asset performance and operational scenarios.
  • Conduct objective market research to support corporate strategy and portfolio clarity across active mandates.
  • Synthesize findings into clear, written briefs that help our principals form a view on critical decisions.
  • Assist in analyzing governance structures and operating model variations for key regional entities.
  • Prepare clear charts and visual representations of historical data for partner-level discussions.
  • Participate in internal methodology reviews, helping to challenge our assumptions and refine our advice.

What We Are Looking For
  • Strong ability to organize unstructured quantitative data into logical, working spreadsheets.
  • Exceptional written precision, with the ability to write short, clear summaries free of jargon.
  • Active curiosity about corporate finance, operating models, and how holding companies function.
  • Analytical rigor and a systematic approach to identifying errors in data.
  • Completion of or progress toward a degree in finance, economics, business analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Ability to manage time independently and work productively in a hybrid office and home environment.

How We Work
Our approach to collaboration balances focused, independent analysis with structured team alignment. We operate on a hybrid model where team members spend designated days together in the office to review active mandates, discuss governance challenges, and share ideas face-to-face, while working remotely on alternative days to write and analyze. This structure demands high autonomy and offers direct access to firm principals. Mentoring is built directly into our daily routines, as interns work closely with senior partners on real problems and receive clear, direct feedback on their analysis. We do not use elaborate consulting theories: we expect simple clarity, logical consistency, and a strong defense of every observation.

What the Role Offers
  • Competitive monthly compensation suitable for a professional internship of this caliber.
  • Direct working relationships with firm principals, bypassing traditional corporate hierarchy.
  • Practical experience addressing corporate strategy and portfolio clarity for major regional organizations.
  • Hands-on skill development in corporate governance analysis and operating model design.
  • A balanced hybrid schedule that respects focus time and minimizes unnecessary meetings.
