Consultant, Applications Architect (IT / IT Application)

Job Purpose

Develop and maintain SAP Assets, road maps, patterns and complex SAP architectures by providing strategic expertise into evaluation of new solutions. Use business architecture practices to align business, SAP and IT strategies. Provide subject matter expertise and architectural oversight during the design, build and test phases.

Role & Responsibilities

Develop and maintain complex SAP architectures by providing strategic expertise into evaluation of new solutions and definition of target, reference, and high-level solution architectures. Develop and manage SAP assets, principles, roadmaps, patterns, etc. Collaborate with strategic IT suppliers to influence SAP product strategy and solutions to align with Marafiq business requirements. Work with businesses to establish clear connections between business goals and strategies and the process data, and technology investments required to achieve them. Use business architecture practices to align business, SAP and IT strategies Regularly interface with analysts, process designers, application portfolio managers, business relationship managers, and SAP subject matter experts to understand and evaluate business capability needs. Apply a deep understanding of architecture practices to articulate technology options and risk and mitigation strategies to influence decisions and project direction with senior leadership. Review new projects from the business and determines alignment with the enterprise architecture. Provide subject matter expertise and architectural oversight during the design, build and test phases. Utilizing deep knowledge of architecture practices and procedures, assist in quality assurance evaluations on new and existing technology. Drive toward simple and SAP standard solutions limiting customization; facilitate architecture governance processes. Maintain extensive knowledge of industry trends, and utilizes this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better target solution architectures that support and drive business decisions. Assist in the definition of the architecture and technology opportunities of the organization based on new and emerging technologies.

Mininum Qualification

Minimum Qualification University degree in Computer Science or equivalent Minimum Experience 4 years with IT applications preferably within a large industrial or utilities organization.
