Job Description

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Civil & Structural Engineering Expert to support the technical review and verification of civil and structural elements across major port and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure designs and construction activities comply with project requirements, applicable standards, and engineering best practices while contributing to the successful delivery of complex port, terminal, and infrastructure developments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review and verify civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and calculations.
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and international standards.
• Provide technical input on civil and structural matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify design gaps, risks, and inconsistencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery.
• Support quality assurance processes, including inspections and technical assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation related to civil and structural reviews.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BEng, BSc) or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in civil and structural engineering.
• Proven experience in civil and structural works associated with major infrastructure, port, terminal, or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of design standards, construction methodologies, engineering principles, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in design review, technical assessments, quality assurance, and engineering compliance activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments.

• Experience working on major port, marine, terminal, or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineering certification, chartership, or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Familiarity with international design codes and standards relevant to port and infrastructure developments.

• Knowledge of risk management, value engineering, and constructability review processes.
