Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Business Development Specialist to support the growth and expansion of Madar’s commercial initiatives across the logistics and technology sectors. This role focuses on identifying new and high-value business opportunities, expanding our customer base, and developing strategic partnerships that contribute to long-term revenue goals.

The specialist will analyze industry trends, assess market potential, and help shape the company’s business development strategy. Responsibilities include managing and developing relationships with prospective clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, as well as representing Madar in market interactions to ensure our digital logistics solutions align with evolving customer and industry needs.

Success in this role requires strong analytical and commercial capabilities, solid communication and negotiation skills, and effective collaboration with internal teams to support the seamless execution of business initiatives and alignment with Madar’s broader strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Sales

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in the logistics and supply chain technology market across Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Develop and present compelling business proposals and solution presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets as set by senior management.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and prospects, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, needs assessments, and solution demonstrations.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities using CRM tools and structured follow-up processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, operations, PMO) to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, gaps, and emerging opportunities in the logistics technology landscape.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support the department's strategic planning process.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.

Solution-Based Business Modelling

  • Develop tailored business models for prospective clients that demonstrate how the company's logistics technology solutions integrate into and enhance their day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with potential clients to understand their operational workflows, pain points, and business objectives, then map these to the company's solution capabilities.
  • Design and present use-case scenarios that illustrate the practical, measurable value of the solution within the client's specific operational context (e.g., fleet management, warehouse operations, last-mile delivery, freight tracking).
  • Collaborate with the technical and product teams to translate client operational requirements into viable solution configurations and deployment models.
  • Build financial and operational business cases — including ROI models, cost-benefit analyses, and efficiency projections — that justify adoption of the company's solutions from the client's perspective.
  • Continuously refine business model frameworks based on client feedback, market trends, and evolving product capabilities to ensure relevance and competitiveness.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Prepare and submit regular sales performance reports, pipeline updates, and forecasting to the Head of BD & PMO.
  • Collaborate closely with the PMO Manager to ensure smooth transition of won accounts into project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of BD strategies, marketing materials, and go-to-market plans

Requirements

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial strategy, preferably in logistics, SaaS, or digital solutions.
  • Experience in SaaS, TaaS, or digital marketplace solutions.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing client-specific business models or solution adoption frameworks, ideally within a technology or SaaS environment.
  • Experience working with enterprise or mid-market clients in Saudi Arabia or the broader GCC market.
