The Business Analyst – Strategy & PMO Support will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between project management and strategic business initiatives within the organization. The individual will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market analysis, evaluating business performance metrics, and assisting in the development and implementation of strategic projects. This role necessitates a keen analytical mindset complemented by strong communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management. As an entry-level position, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and will be expected to contribute innovative ideas that drive project efficiency and alignment with organizational goals while adhering to project management best practices.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.
- Proven exposure to business analysis methodologies and project management principles through internships or academic projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of data analysis tools and techniques, along with experience in interpreting complex data sets.
- Familiarity with strategic planning processes and frameworks, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports for stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, JIRA).
- Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and quality assurance in deliverables.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within teams while also being able to operate independently when required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating effective time management skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify opportunities for strategic business improvements.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success and business performance.
- Collaborate with project managers to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of project deliverables against timelines and objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate insights from data analysis to various stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with teams to gather requirements and facilitate discussions on project objectives and outcomes.
- Support the PMO in maintaining project documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and aligned with organizational processes.
- Help in identifying risks and issues within projects and provide decision support for mitigation strategies.
- Foster relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate analytical support.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Basic understanding of business process modeling and improvement methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High level of adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic business environment.
- Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an asset.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a timely manner.
- Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles, along with an eagerness to learn more about project management frameworks.
