Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient inventory management, storage, and distribution activities. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Coordinate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Supervise warehouse staff and provide guidance to ensure productivity and adherence to operational procedures.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and support initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service levels.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse space utilization and storage arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company regulations within the warehouse.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Sales to support business operations.
- Prepare and maintain warehouse reports, KPIs, and operational records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and service levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
