At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

At Jacobs, we push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are a key delivery partner on one of Saudi Arabia’s flagship giga projects and a central pillar of Vision 2030, located approximately 45 km southwest of Riyadh. Designed as the Kingdom’s future capital of entertainment, sports, and culture, this landmark development aims to diversify the economy and enhance quality of life through a mix of world-class attractions, residential communities, and natural landscapes, while generating significant employment and enabling long-term, sustainable growth.

About The Opportunity

The Asset Lifecycle Planning & Integration Director leads the development and implementation of city-wide asset lifecycle planning frameworks, policies, renewal strategies, and intervention rules aligned with ISO 55001 standards. The role ensures consistent lifecycle decision-making across all asset portfolios, balancing cost, risk, performance, service outcomes, and whole-life value. Acting as a key link between City Asset Management and City Operations, it drives the integration of asset condition, criticality, service levels, maintenance requirements, and operational feedback into lifecycle plans. The position also partners with SAP EAMS and AM systems teams to provide trusted asset performance, risk, condition, and renewal planning insights.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of city-wide asset lifecycle planning frameworks, policies, renewal strategies, and governance aligned with ISO 55001 standards.
  • Establish lifecycle planning principles that balance asset performance, risk, cost, service levels, safety, resilience, and whole-life value.
  • Develop and manage renewal pipelines, using condition, risk, criticality, performance, maintenance, and cost data to prioritize investment decisions.
  • Define intervention thresholds, maintenance policies, renewal criteria, and asset-specific lifecycle requirements across portfolios.
  • Partner with SAP EAMS and AM platform teams to enable lifecycle forecasting, risk analysis, condition monitoring, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Integrate lifecycle planning across asset portfolios, ensuring consistent standards while addressing asset-class-specific operational needs.
  • Oversee lifecycle costing, total cost of ownership analysis, renewal forecasts, budget inputs, and long-term capital and operational planning.
  • Collaborate with City Operations, O&M teams, asset leads, governance teams, and handover stakeholders to embed lifecycle requirements into operational readiness and asset management plans.
  • Provide a city-wide view of asset risk, performance, backlog, renewal priorities, and lifecycle pressures to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of lifecycle policies, prioritization methodologies, planning standards, and decision-support tools through performance monitoring, lessons learned, and industry best practices.

Here's what you'll need

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Operations Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree and relevant professional certifications are preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in asset management, lifecycle planning, renewals, maintenance strategy, infrastructure operations, portfolio planning, and asset investment planning, including senior leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven expertise in developing lifecycle planning frameworks, renewal strategies, intervention policies, asset management plans, and risk-based prioritisation methodologies.
  • Strong experience integrating condition, risk, cost, performance, criticality, and maintenance data to support lifecycle forecasting, renewal pipelines, and investment decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO 55001 principles, lifecycle value optimisation, whole-life costing, risk management, SAP EAMS/CMMS, and asset performance reporting.
  • Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across O&M, finance, governance, handover, infrastructure, and portfolio teams to drive lifecycle planning, capital investment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
