What you will be doing!

Coordinate with business leaders, local board staff, regional solutions centers, workforce partners, economic development, and training providers to market industry-driven training opportunities and talent development options. This position serves as a primary resource for businesses to resolve employment-related needs, and becomes familiar with all of the community’s business resources and act as a referral point for business and workforce partners. Develop close relationships with businesses to ensure the workforce system is single point of contact to meet their needs for recruitment, selection and referral of job seekers for job listings.

In this position you will:

  • Attend various economic development, workforce partner and employer-planning meetings.

  • Make presentations to community and business groups.

  • Identify training needs and opportunities that will align job seekers’ skills with employer needs.

  • Under the direction of management, collaborate with workforce boards and training providers on training development.

  • Train employers and partner staff on the criteria, requirements, and philosophy of various programs such as employer tax credits/incentives and hiring of trade-affected customer groups.

  • Develop a marketing plan and strategy that includes partner involvement.

Required Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; OR


Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
