Job Description

The role of “Senior Product Manager, will be responsible for the global commercialization framework for Visa Partner/VDP.  This role will participate in critical global business development discussions, handling service agreements with large clients across the globe.  In addition, the role will review the current contracting process across Visa Partner and VDP and determine the optimal working model going forward working with critical partners in Legal, Risk, Product and more.  This role will recommend upwards critical changes to the client onboarding and implementation process that will further digitize the platform.  This role will be responsible for helping greenlight new APIs onto the VDP platform.  This role will tackle new commercialization projects for the recently formed Visa Partner.

The successful candidate will understand go-to-market principles and commercialization fundamentals of Product Management.  They will always keep the client first, while meeting Visa governance and risk responsibilities.  They will be a self-starter that is looking to constantly improve the commercialization function within Visa Partner.


•       Be the voice of VDP in any contracts that require a global viewpoint/strategy.  Have deep knowledge of Master Service Agreement terms to better inform/instruct partners on negotiations.

•       Work with Client Contract Management and Legal teams to manage and further automate client contracts. Validate current processes and recommend improvements. 

•       Work with Platform Team and technology to execute on the API Onboarding roadmap to be the voice of the client and develop well-defined onboarding requirements to smoothly connect clients to sandbox testing, certification and production environments that avoid bugs and experience hiccups. 

•       Ensure Product teams develop pricing and terms and conditions for new products and hold them accountable for execution against commitments ahead of onboarding. As needed, provide strategic direction to the Pricing team on differentiated pricing needs.

•       Enhance the client onboarding process with updated documentation, facilitation of global training, improved tools.  Communicate broadly within the Global Visa Developer, Product and Client Services organizations.

•       Constantly improve the onboarding process by conducting research with and gaining feedback from onboarded clients by collaborating with Portal team to analyze results from the annual client survey and with Client Services teams via quarterly Global Summits.  Disseminate research and feedback to Product, Technology, Sales, and Sales Operations organizations.

•       Establish detailed legal and privacy process, rules and guidelines for vetting partners on Visa Partner

•       Develop reporting methodology to report out on progress and implementation.

•       Build close relationships between Visa Product, Client Support and Sales/Business Development organizations.

•       Utilize Visa’s brand voice and maintain high level of client service across channels.

•       Ensure all Visa standards, policies, and processes are observed and followed.


Basic Qualifications

4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications

•       7 to 10 years’ experience working in client experience, product/general management or payments

•       Ability to plan and execute cross functional events related on client onboarding and business operations

•       Passion for and understanding of the payments industry

•       Demonstrated writing, grammar, and moderation/facilitation skills

•       Excellent interpersonal, verbal communications and presentation skills

•       Strategic and creative thinker

•       Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player; quality driven

Additional Information


Normal business hours plus occasional early and late calls to accommodate other regional teams. 


No Travel


This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
