We are looking for a curious and creative problem-solver and business owner with initiative, attention to detail and who likes to ask, “how does this serve our customer?” to join our team! Enterprise Connectivity provides end-to-end ownership for connectivity between the vehicle, consumer and infrastructure within Ford. Our Third Party partnership group works across Enterprise Connectivity’s Product, Portfolio and Advanced Engineering teams – along with other teams at Ford – to deliver new products and services to the marketplace.

What you’ll be able to do:

The Business Development Manager, Third Party Enablement, role will lead us in identifying, forming, building and scaling new Third Party partnerships businesses for Ford. You will focus on generating customer, partner and enterprise value, while reinforcing Ford’s aspiration to be the world’s most trusted company. Essential skills include:

  • Business acumen, creativity and resourcefulness to bring to market new opportunities

  • Client relationship development and management grounded in a commitment to 100% customer satisfaction


  • Strong understanding of the emerging markets for connected vehicle data and the differentiating role that Ford should play

  • Sufficient technical chops to partner with our product teams on roadmap development and quality delivery against our SLAs.




You will be researching and recommending new opportunities and solutions including profit and service improvements. You will also identify product/service improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and understand the competition. What you’ll be able to do:


  • Develop, Grow and manage a portfolio of B2B customers and businesses, leading with emerging products/services and customer service sales operations concepts

  • Own a P&L for an emerging business, and be responsible for delivery

  • Identify and recommend business metrics with which to measure our sales growth for your portfolio and services

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify new business models to drive growth

  • Opportunity to manage other members of the Third Party Business Development team, providing direction and career development growth

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.



The minimum requirements we seek:


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Four or more years of experience working across large cross-functional teams and influencing executive decision-making

  • Two or more years of experience in direct sales, sales operations, account management or customer service


Our preferred requirements:

  • MBA


  • Sales experience - proven track record of sales growth and client relationship development

  • Experience leading client relationship initiation & development


  • Ability to work across multiple tasks simultaneously; strong attention to detail and delivery

  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable in highly ambiguous environments – enjoys disruption and making sense of white space

  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with strong business judgment

  • Demonstrated experience turning customer needs into tangible products/services

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with bias for action

  • Experience planning and executing client meet and greets – cold calling

  • Experience with sales operations tools and managing client portfolios

  • Experience developing pricing and cost models
