Summary:


The Talent, Diversity & Inclusion Specialist develops and implements programs that align workforce with key business strategies and initiatives. Emphasis is on management development, performance management and diversity and inclusion programs.


Responsibilities:


Essential Functions


People

· Manages client expectations through understanding the issue(s), providing a timeline for getting back to the client if not resolved immediately, collaborating in resolution of the issue(s), and if unable to resolve, involving the appropriate resource to help the client with resolution.

· Develops materials and curriculum that are relevant, current and engage the learner.



Service

· Designs and implements inclusion (diversity) management, performance management and management development programs.

· Integrates multiple initiatives, viewpoints and context to design and execute OD interventions.

· Leads cross organizational initiatives, working with a broad and diverse audience.

· Consults with senior management on significant and unique people/organizational issues where analysis of situations requires an evaluation of intangibles.

· Specific activities may include data gathering, analysis and interpretation; facilitation aimed at conflict resolution, change management, or team building; coaching; custom designed training; and measurement of outcomes.

· Develops and delivers leadership training in alignment with organizational goals and needs.

· Completes special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.

· Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising leadership on needed action.


Quality

· Monitors ongoing overall effectiveness of leadership development program.

· Conducts needs assessment to identify gaps in individual skills that can be addressed through broad based training interventions.

· Completes a customer satisfaction survey after each training program and OD intervention and submits to supervisor for review.



Finance

· Develops cost-effective programs and training initiatives to deploy through the system.



Growth

· Remains on cutting edge of O.D. processes, programs and current trends.

· Completes job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations and maintaining current on industry trends.


Community

· Works with leaders to assess and create development plans.

· Partners with operational leaders to support the accomplishment of individual development plans.


Other information:


5 years’ experience in organization development, performance management or organizational consulting or a Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline and 2 years of related HR or consulting experience required .


· Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


· Experience in needs assessments, implementation of organizational development strategies and interventions for a broad and diverse audience.

· Demonstrated mastery of group process facilitation methods, practices and techniques.

· Demonstrated ability to draw on current research, theories and models of practice to design and implement organizational development interventions.

· Demonstrated mastery of presentation and training development and delivery.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Word process application with the ability to create and edit documents, format, use tables, apply footnoting, create table of contents and mail merge techniques.
