Summary:Assist Housekeeping in planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of work activities and procedures. Maintain good relationships with peers and assure a quality product is delivered. Coordinates resources of the assigned areas to achieve quality and customer satisfaction. Performs duties of Housekeeping. Help train new employees on specific job duties. <</p>


Responsibilities



  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Possess knowledge of and assure compliance with standards for Infection Control, EFPA, OSHA, Hazardous and Biomedical Waste Management, Joint Commission, New Mexico Environment Department and Health Department Administrative Code. Supervises all departmental personnel to assure provision of a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. Provide leadership and serve as a role model for housekeepers Interview, select, orient, evaluate and terminate departmental staff as appropriate to assure necessary staffing of the department. Prepares work schedules and assigns and coordinates the activities of housekeeping personnel. Help housekeepers establish priorities. Report to Facilities Manager the performance of staff and contractors working for SGH Housekeeping department.Assures an adequate supply of linens, supplies and equipment (Minor and Capital) Performs housekeeping duties as required to meet goals on a daily basis. Oversee linen outsourcing to ensure an appropriate amount of clean linens are available. Leads department by supporting PHS & SGH initiatives. Attends meetings as assigned. Know, understand and adhere to PHS and department policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Education: High School Diploma required


Associates Degree preferred. Minimum of three to five years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in healthcare setting. One-year previous supervisory experience preferred. Good analytical skills, problem solving skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills. Education:* High School Diploma or GED
