JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW


The Claims Operations Specialist is a key member of the Employment Practices Liability ("EPL") Claims Team who is primarily responsible for providing administrative support for the EPL Claims Management Team and a team of Claims Analysts and Claims Attorneys that handle Employment Practice Liability Insurance ("EPLI") claims on behalf of TriNet and its customers, in addition to other corporate litigation. The position will work closely with the EPL Claims Management Team facilitating key team activities and tracking deliverables. Responsibilities for this position require superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple tasks. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as professionalism in dealing with internal teams across the company is important. The successful candidate will possess the skills to complete routine tasks quickly, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and efficiently solve problems that affect people across the organization with the support of the Claims Supervisor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Review and analyze reports from SalesForce, Legal Tracker, and other sources that impact EPL Claims Team

  • Create new reports upon request through SalesForce and Legal Tracker

  • Set deadlines and reminders to obtain reports from vendors

  • Advise EPL Management Team of claims trends and volume based on reports reviewed

  • Obtain records and other information from internal and external sources where needed

  • Create and maintain claim files for EPL team

  • Assist with management of invoices issued by outside law firms

  • Support Claims Analysts and Claims Attorneys with check requests

  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion


JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree required/preferred; or equivalent education and/or related work experience, such as paralegal certificate or administrative support position in a law office or in-house legal department


Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): None.


Experience:



  • Minimum 3 years' experience reporting to Director Level or above as an Executive Assistant, paralegal, or administrative assistant in a fast-paced professional environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (with experience in reporting, pivot tables, and vLookup)

  • Experience with CRM systems, i.e, SalesForce, preferred

  • Experience with matter and document management systems, i.e. Legal Tracker and Perceptive Content, preferred

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities

  • Ability to work with colleagues across multiple time zones and accommodate assignments in other time zones, as necessary
