The Solution Director I (Solution Director) solutions single-tower and/or non-complex new business opportunities as well as renewals by developing compelling win, solution and price strategies to meet client requirements for outsourced managed services. The SD-I has business and technical acumen and is experienced in transforming customer requirements into solutions that differentiate CompuCom from its competitors.


The SD-I participates in pre-sales activities and assists the sales team in identifying and qualifying standard pursuits. The SD-I leads and guides the pursuit/bid team to develop cohesive solution, pricing, proposal creation and presentations to the customer. The SD-I has experience writing persuasive proposals and conducts orals utilizing strong communication skills.


The SD-I works with Commercial Management and Legal to write SOWs, understand key risks and mitigation strategies. The SD-I provides support to Legal as required for negotiations.


General:



  • Participates in Deal Qualification activities to assess winnability of pursuit, identifies gaps in customer requirements and CompuCom capabilities, and makes recommendations for standard solution approach

  • Participates in customer discovery workshops in support of the SD-II or SD-III


Solution Development:



  • Identifies subject matter experts and Delivery Architects required to develop solution and cost for assigned opportunities; in some cases may be fully responsible for the end to end solution and cost estimators

  • Deconstructs RFx documents to segment requirements, data points and underlying business challenges in support of solution development and win theme planning

  • Leads pursuit and solution process, including responses to RFx, renewals and change orders

  • Guides the pursuit team to develop a cohesive solution, price, proposal creation and presentation for the customer

  • Manages the overall solution and ensures integration of solution components to deliver a compelling end to end solution for the customer

  • Works with sales, delivery and senior leadership to establish price strategies

  • May work with the Pursuit Center to develop the proposal plan and response requirements or fully own the creation and execution of the plan

  • Supports the SD-II or SD-III in the creation of oral presentation materials


Commercial Management:



  • Updates Statements or Work (SOWs) templates and assesses and mitigates risks through the solution design and contract language

  • Follows commercial risk management process consulting with commercial management team and legal as applicable

  • Secures all appropriate final opportunity/contract approvals from required parties


Qualifications



  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • Area of Study -Information Technology, Business, Process

  • Minimum 3 year experience in related field

  • Strong technical and pre-sales knowledge in multiple areas of IT infrastructure services

  • ITIL certification, preferred

  • Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, Salesforce.com

  • Able to operate under pressure managing multiple opportunities and demanding clients

  • Keeps appropriate people aware of plans, decisions, status, and other relevant information

  • Adaptability - Ability to triage varied requests and opportunities based on client urgency

  • Productivity - Ability to quickly react to requests and properly solution technical opportunities
