What Will you do?

The ServiceNow Engineering Manager will be responsible for the day to day operation and development strategies of the ServiceNow platform. This position is accountable for transforming the engineering practices within the Service Technologies organization, including the introduction of Lean principles, DevOps practices, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment methodologies. This position will work with all business units and divisions to maximize the use of the platform, assist with expansion, prioritize implementation of projects, and ensure strong value is realized from the platform.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead a global Service Engineering team toward using lean principles, DevOps practices

and continuous integration/continuous deployment methodologies.

  • Provides thought leadership regarding optimal utilization of the ServiceNow platform and standard methodologies for development of projects and enhancements.

  • Establish and track the most relevant metrics to a product, track past projects, and identify new ways to optimize them

  • Ensures effective communication and coordination of problem-solving efforts between ITSM strategy, design, development, support and account teams including Service Management and customers and ensure adherence to existing ITSM standard practices and direct the ITSM tools and processes towards continuous improvement

  • Provides leadership and participates in vetting new requirements on the ServiceNow platform

Education


  • HS Diploma required and 5+ years of relate experience

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a ServiceNow Sr. Developer with multiple end-to-end ServiceNow implementations across a number of modules including: ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, SAM, HAM, ITBM, Security Operations, configuration management and GRC

  • 2+ years in a technical leadership role; Software Engineering leadership experience strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record implement DevOps practices and/or Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment solutions at scale.

  • Ability to problem solve and work well in complex, ambiguous situations

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including polished presentation skills with the ability to deliver technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and understandable manner


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proven experience in DevOps Practices and/or Lean Engineering principles strongly preferred

  • Technical knowledge of the following areas JavaScript, HTML, LDAP/Active Directory, networking and database administration
  • Experience in designing and implementing complex, multi-tier, multi-tenant, end-to-end solutions in a high availability environment

  • Knowledge and experience using the Agile methodology

  • Demonstrable application of functional/technical knowledge to determine solutions and solves complex problems across departments
