Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, your role is essential in enhancing existing & designing/developing new ValuationNet (VN) app components on AWS Cloud to ensure that the business needs are met, & models/analytics are accurately generated. The person will also be responsible for test automation of financial models/instruments using AWS Cloud Services/Framework.

The Senior Associate, AWS Developer role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Confer with product managers, capital market staff, or business unit management to determine analytical or product-related needs regarding product, investment instrument, market activity, or complex transaction to be analyzed.

  • Use one or more analytical tools from a suite of application tools to perform appropriate analysis on specified product, transaction, market activity, or investment vehicle that has multiple variables affecting potential outcomes.

  • Using these tools, develop or refine computer applications that provide deeper analysis of prospective asset performance, asset pricing, new asset classes, or information needed to measure or hedge risk. 

  • Provide ongoing analysis of new and existing products/applications and suggest program modifications as necessary.

  • Design test cases and test applications for systems/applications used for a variety of analytical, pricing, risk management or credit pricing to ensure the business needs are met and analytics are correctly implemented



Minimum Required Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • 10+ years of experience in software development/programming

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional Certification

  • 5+ years experience in development in Java/J2EE

  • 5+ years experience in Spring framework tools (MVC, Boot, etc)

  • 4+ years experience in design and implementation of applications in a financial services organization   

  • 2+ years experience in AWS Services development, including experience enhancing existing components and designing and developing new components 

  • 2+ years experience in the following software skills: UNIX/LINUX Shell scripting and SQL

  • 1+ years experience development experience in Python

  • 1+ years experience in test automation framework (such as Selenium or Cucumber)

  • Must be a self-starter and motivated to learn new techniques, skills, and knowledge required by his or her duties and responsibilities in required timeframe

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a collaborative environment
